Akkineni Nagarjuna Again, he is back with a very interesting film called Om Namo Venkatesaya. Directed by the legendary Raghavendra Rao, this film has reached the screens today. Let’s see how it is.
From his childhood, Ram (Nagarjuna) undertook a journey to contact the eternal powers of the god. He joins the ashram of Padmananda Swamy (Sai Kumar) in Tirumala and gets informed about Lord Venkateswara and his spiritual powers. To seek more divinity, he reaches the main temple of Tirumala and begins to pray for the Lord.
God answers his prayers as Lord Venkateswara himself appears beforehim and recognizes his sincerity . At the same time , there are manyother criminal factors that Ram must face in the temple town .
What are these problems? What kind of relationship Ram shares with Lord Venkateswara? How did he become Hathi Ram Baba? And where are Krishnamma (Anuska) and Pragya Jaiswal present in this set? To know the answers to these questions, you must watch the film on the big screen.
Probably, this is one of Nag’s best performances to date and the way he plays Lord Venkateswara’s emotional devotion will hypnotize you completely. Whether it is his desire to meet the Lord with his facial expressions, Nag takes you on an emotional journey.
As a master cinematographer, Raghavendra Rao unveils the story of Hathi Ram Baba in a very commercial and easily understandable way. Pragya Jaiswal is beautiful and plays well her role. Rao Ramesh does the work of the wicked even better.
The character of Jagapathi Babu seems irrelevant and is the only trouble in the film. His role and a song with Anushka should have been cut to improve things. The first part of the second half has a certain slow pace as the thing bogged down a bit.
There are some scenes where emotions do not go well between Lord Venkateswara and his wives.
